2 - Scotland
We flew from Oslo to Edinburgh…discovering at the check-in desk that we were 16kgs overweight with our baggage!! (I thought our bags seemed heavy). Luckily the lady only charged us for 5 kgs. We knew we wouldn’t be that lucky again so we bought the largest hand luggage that we read would be allowed on our future flights and packed those full of our heaviest things. We checked with Ben whether he thought that our bag looked too big and he responded with ‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hand luggage bag that big’. We replied with, ‘but it says this is the max size on their website!’ and crossed our fingers. At Edinburgh airport we were told to try fitting the bag into the metal holder that represents the largest size bag you can take onboard. Dan managed to squeeze it in…trying not to giveaway how damn heavy it was when he had to struggle to get it back out. And off we went! So that’s how you get around excess baggage. When you fly with BA at least.
And now on to photos from our week in Scotland. First we stayed at John and Tia’s place and celebrated his 30th birthday with them. Well, they celebrated more than us. Dan was feeling very poorly (one word we had trouble understanding when spoken with a scottish accent) and I wasn’t 100% either so we listened to them enjoy their celebrations into the wee hours from our bed
The second half of the week was spent with Ben the wen in Stirling.
So, without further ado…
