UPDATE 4 - Global

Global Gathering (and vast amounts of sock fungii)

Last weekend we went to a DJ festival called Global Gathering out at an airfield in Stratford on Avon (near Birmingham). It took 4-5 hrs to get there and then to get home again. It was one crazy weekend! I’d never been to an outdoor festival with so many people before. We went with our old friend Chris and met up with a couple more old friends Shane and Christine. A fun time was had by all.

Here we are waiting in one of the many queues to get into Global GatheringOnce there we bought something resembling food for AUD each. I noticed the bin liked them!The God's Kitchen tent where the trance anthems were pumped out (as Gary might say)Yay we made it!This area was called 'The Beach'We were hanging out to see Armin Van BuurenWe arrived at 3.30pm so we hung out having a few drinks in the afternoonAnd watched the crazy people bungie jumpingYay we all made it!I've never been around so many people at a festival before! This was just 1 of 6 stages.Carl Cox went off to a very packed tent of peopleArmin Van Buuren's set was the highlight for us. Followed by Paul Van Dyk who I'd seen twice in Adelaide before.The boys enjoyed themselvesThe night was great until we had to wait 2hrs standing up in the drizzle for our trainWe were tired...but then again so was everybody!The next day we went out near Birmingham again for interviews at Headfirst. It was a remote area but gorgeous and the people were really friendly.
