UPDATE 5 - 5 weeks!?!

Hanging out with our Homez in BrixtonWe had a delicious African meal with huge pancakes...yum!We caught up with Shane & Christine at the Tate Modern...this is us in front of the Thames looking towards the TateWe thought we'd try taking a photo of ourselves...what a strange concept! ;)The other week we visited the London Museum and then the British MuseumThe reading room at the British Museum...it transformed my face in perculiar ways...what is wrong with my eyes??Is this the grail?The Rosetta Stone! Very useful tool for deciphering :)Yay! Another park lunch! We found the BEST olives at the markets near Clapham Junction.Ooo creepy! This is the view from one of the interesting pubs on our pub crawl with Ben and Jenny.Jenny had a book with the history of what happened at each pub...namely lots of death by hanging.We got to drink at 3 pubs in all. Need to go back to finish the pub crawl at some stage!Here is Jenny pointing at the stairs which were at the side of this pub down the little lane. Where she is pointing is where she nearly slipped over.This is Dan relieved after his interview and happy to be on a train to Sturry...with beer!!Here we are arriving at Fordwich...Britain's smallest town!Quaint little Fordwichwell, there WERE gerkins (bad taste warning)On Tuesday we caught a bus to Dover with the guysThe weather was absolutely perfect...was it the last perfect weather we will see here?A Dover local.AwwCome on get happy!At the end of a long pier there was a cafe that proudly boasted this...The white cliffs of Dover and Dover CastleAnd if you squint into the distance you can just make out FranceUs in Dover :)Us on a rock (Shane dared me to do it hoping I'd fall in...he was disapointed)The guys had a half price coupon to go to other chain pubs so we went to this one in Canterbury and pigged out on 3 course meals each + wineDan speaking to a recruitment guy in the beer garden of the haunted pubGetting into some fish n chips in CanterburyWe spent the next day visiting Dover CastleIt was such a kewl castle! 5 hrs of walking and we still hadn't seen everything!...or fallThe church in the castle groundsDan in the castle groundsWe had a guided tour through the secret wartime tunnels...very kewl!In the distance you can see where the big ferries leave to take cars and people to France...how kewl is that?!I think I'm nextCastle goodnessAfter 5 hours our feet screamed 'no more castle' and we headed back to CanterburyThis is the incredible 'Tower Burger' that Christine cooked us at the George and Dragon. Just dividing it between us to eat was an engineering feat!Go ahead and jumpThe George and Dragon pubThe other pub in FordwichWe ventured into the meadowsand found this enormous alien sunflowerHanging in the fields like the 'pikies' (that Shane informed us about)Our first lock in! Pubs shut so early around here and it was fun hanging around after closing time to drink with the George and Dragon crew :)We awoke to grey drizzly rain clouds on Friday which signalled that we had to head home. So onto yet another train we hopped back to London.And here we are right now! Well about half an hour ago. This is our current home away from home, the Balham internet cafe :)
