UPDATE ONE!

Marty’s Visit

A month or 2 ago our Adelaide friend, Marty, visited Sydney for the first time. We spent most of the time making him stare at the Harbour Bridge until he couldn’t take it anymore. “No more!” he’d scream. And we would quietly stare on.

We had a very indulgent week with artymartypants in Sydney as you can see in the pics…

Yay! Marty is in Sydney!Of course the first stop was our favourite Japanese place, Asakusa (which Marty was very happy about)Then off to see the big smoke...well, the big Centrepoint anywayBig ol' churchOoo moody oldworld (Dan took this shot)We had just bought our new camera. Danger!Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!We took the monorail to Darling Harbour and ate (and ate)This is Cockle Bay Wharf in Darling Harbour?We headed off as it was getting dark...to feed Allie and Bruce's cat while they were away (it prefered Dan to catfood)Marty's visit was a lot of fun. We even had a chance to hammertime!Just like the old days huh Marty? You can't touch this!Marty and I headed over to ManlyIt was a great sunny dayYep, it's a beach!A relaxing arvo of wine and food...before heading home on the ferry.Oh what's this?It's the bridge...again!!A drink at the Zanibar in NewtownDan was really serious about itWe drank and ate and drank and ate... and chatted over cups of teaSushi makes everyone happy...so long artymartypants!

Yak & Yeti

One last crazy dinner with the gang before Grant and Vinh headed off overseas…

Goodbye drinks

With Grant heading off to work in Norway and Vinh about to live in Shanghai, this was a farewell drinks night to remember. We also called it our own because we are lazy…and busy. But especially lazy.

The month of June

The month of June has been a little hectic. We decided to go to England one day and later that week drove to Canberra to get our UK working holiday maker visas. We got our visas the same day which was kewl. Then we proceeded to freak out with the amount of stuff we needed to do and after freaking out, wrote it all down then started doing it (in between freaking out). And that’s what we’ve been up to ever since. Except for last weekend when we went to Canberra to visit Dan’s family. It was nice to have time for that and I wish we could also visit my brother in Ballina and Dan’s mum in the Gold Coast. But maybe we’ll spend all our pennies overseas and just hang out like bums in their homes when we get back ;)
